When 'user type' attributes are used, and the individual is selected by use of the 'select user' functionality, then the 'user name' is presented in the attribute.
Because names are not unique, we decided years ago to enter the user (employee) ID in the name field. This makes that we see the ID instead of the name.
It would be great if the value that is presented in the attribute would be configurable. This way we could as well present the name, or the email or any other information that is available about the user in the UMC.
Thank you for clarifying.
Example is the attribute "person responsible". When I click on the "select user" functionality that comes with this attribute, then it brings up a screen in which I see 2 columns: "user name" and "name". I can filter on both, though ultimately it is always the information that is entered in the User Name column that is presented in the attribute. That is where we have a problem, because we have an ID filled in in the name column in the database and not the name of the person. As such, we get the ID in the attribute. We would like to be able to configure which information that should be presented in the attribute. If the column 'name' would be presented in the attribute instead of the column 'user name', then our problem is solved. AFAIK, this is not configurable to present the column name instead.
Hi Joost,
thank you for sharing your idea. Could you please provide an example? I just checked the user chooser option. It should automatically pick the the user's ID which by default is unique in ARIS.
