In order to keep the number of templates displayed in a model as low as possible and not to confuse modelers unnecessarily, it would be good to have a function such as "Publish templates in Connect Designer" for each database. This can be used to select which templates should be displayed in models in a database. This makes it clearer if you are working with several different databases that have historically grown to have different display methods (due to the size of the company and different business areas).
The attached picture shows the large number of templates. However, for the template used by me and my department, the one highlighted in yellow is the important. All others are irrelevant for us, but not for other databases
