To prevent users from deleting by mistake folders with diagrams or actives, we are wondering if is possible to activate some functionallity for avoiding undesired deletes in the future.
Would it be possible to implement a functionallity similar to a trashcan? If not it would be helpful at least to require confirmation from the user before deleting any item.

users are prompted twice if they are really sure to go ahead with the delete. could you please elaborate why this is not enough? Would it help to change the text in those warnings to avoid undesired deletes?
