Search result in extended global search are in a random order. The results need to be sorted by name.
I 've read "Search Result Sorting since 10 SR2 " in the big PDF but there is reference to sorting search results.
attached is an example.

Thank you Thomas for posting this idea. Since we have not heard back from you, we are now assuming that you refer to the current Enteprise Search of published content. Since there are options in the portal to sort and filter results in the Catalog or Glossary view as well as define filters by content type which then shows search results for the chosen categories, I hope that in the meantime, you have managed to find what you are looking for. If this is a misunderstanding, please create a new idea.

the example is missing. When you talk about the extended global search, are you referring to the search for published content or the repository search?
