Whenever we Export ARIS Query Tables to Excel, their paper size gets set toANSI Letter. Over here in Germany (as in most of the world really), we use ISO 216 defined paper sizes, most commonly A4. Since these paper sizes are only different by a few millimetres (roughly one by two barleycorn for anyone who really can't be bothered with metric Units ;-) ), you won't notice the difference on screen. When however you decide to print the Excel file, our printers demand to be fed Letter sized paper (see PC LOAD LETTER), which is quite hard to come by on the Continent. So in order to print, you have to manually set the paper size in Excel to A4 in every file. Try explaining that to a few houndred middle Managers, most of who don't have a technical background..
In our view, it would make more sense to have the paper size according to the user's locale (ideally their OS preferences, but I assume taht you could infer it from the ARIS Interface language for most users). But at least there should be some option for this. Please, if I have overlooked one, point me to it.
Thanks.
