Option to hide events Merged

Since some users and some analyses have different focus points, we would like to have an option to hide/unhide selected events, so that they are not displayed and not considered in the calculations.

This option should be available directly in the analysis, selection accessible from process explorer by clicking, with an option so set up a default selection while desgining the analysis.

This option is already available in other PM tools.

As discussed, 1st prio: hide only (should impact variant discovery), 2nd prio: impact on KPIs etc.

Hi Aleksandra, You're right, the cycle time between A-C will be the same, but what about any other measures, e.g. #activity count per case. Is the request mostly driven from a visiual perspective, i.e. do you want to have the h i d d e n activities not shown in the graph, but still considered in calculations?

Hi, thanks for the feedback. In your example, A-C TPT will be still correct - and A-B/B-C will be irrelevant, so not sure why you suggest keeping it in the calculations?

Thanks for filing this idea. When you are saying "not considered in the calculations" assume you have the process A -> B -> C and you hide function "B", if we would ignore this function entirely from any calculation, then the cycle times etc. will show "wrong" results. I see the point to exclude certain functions from being visualized in the Process Explorer, but they should be considered in the actual calculations. Looking forward to receiving your feedback and comments. Thanks.
