Make ad hoc analyses and queries available in Connect

Ad hoc analyses and queries are currently only availabe in the Architect. Thus, it would be really helpful if Connect designers could access published ones as well in Connect.

    @Jörg Neves Bliesener,

    can you elaborate a bit further on your three ideas?

    What would be very beneficial from my perspective is what was mentioned by Alex Welsh: It would be great if we could publish queries for users to run in Connect Portal alongside the reports.

    This surely would be a valuable extension. Other related ideas:

    • A button that provides the query source code so that it can be executed through the REST API

    • Output formats that are supported by external graph visualization tools

    • Query output as an ARIS model ("materialized query")

    • Query syntax that allows to create networks (closed graphs), maybe as a two- or three-dimensional table

    This feature is essential to increase the adoption of ARIS Connect Designer.

    Several users like queries. They are easy to use and intuitive.

    It would be great to have them available in Connect.

    -Run published queries (ARIS Connect viewer users)

    -Define queries in ARIS Connect (Admins)

    The query tool is really powerful and much easier to generate useful outputs than the report builder. It would be great if we could publish queries for users to run in Connect Portal alongside the reports.

The query feature which has been introduced to ARIS starting version 9 is very powerful and adds a true value to our projects by helping us view and analyse data as per our requirements. Thevisuals that get generated by a query are good and could ...
