Currently a user's ARIS client settings are stored in the ARIS.cfg file and in the UMC. There is no proper way to access and manage these settings centrally.
Extend the functionality of the UMC so user settings can be managed centrally, similar to Microsoft Group Policies. For example:
Define initial default settings for the ARIS client of newly created users. The users can change those settings from within the ARIS client or the UMC if required.
Block users from changing specific settings in their ARIS client. This should be configurable per setting.
Reset the settings of a user to the default values in the UMC.
Create configuration templates for specific user groups and ARIS databases so different projects can have different settings. For example: Database A requires the modelling grid to be disabled while database B does not. Administrators create configration templates for both databases or different user groups. When the user logs on to the database the correct template will be applied to the ARIS client settings.
