Catalog - Enable custom filter for specific catalog columns

Today we only have the possibility to filter a catalog column for a specific item by entering filter criteria (text) or for the name attribute it is possible to filter by text and by character (A-Z 0-9).

It is required to define specific filter criteria per column (database specific) so that we can use a preselection of filter values for a specific attribute via drop down menu.

A pull down menu is needed in Catalog/Documents to find objects by Category and Typ.

In addition, it would be helpful to have such a configuration available in Self Service Configuration.
