1.Test case review workflow in ARCM
Business Case
According to the SOX methodology applied in xxxxxx, all test cases closed by the tester, whether effective or not, have two instance of revision. The first review verifies the consistency and completeness of the work performed by the tester and the second review closes the test case and approves the existence or not of the deficiency. Many test cases closed “effective” by the tester, may have a not-effective result after being reviewed.
Current test case review workflow in the standard ARCM solution
All test cases closed “effective” do not have a subsequent review instance that ensure that the work performed by the tester is complete and free of errors. Effective test cases are not reviewed in ARCM.
All test cases closed “not effective” have only one level of revision.
xxxxxx´s request
Add a second level of revision to the test management review workflow in ARCM.
Include “effective test cases” to the test management review workflow in ARCM.
2.Control frequency attribute in ARIS – new category
Business case
According to SOX methodology, the control frequency is very important to determine the simple size for testing activities. Many of control activities identified in xxxxxx are performed on a “more frequently than daily basis” (15% of total controls).
Current configuration in the standard ARCM solution
The frequency category options available for the control object in ARIS are the following and do not includes a frequency greater than daily.
1.Daily
2.Weekly
3.Monthly
4.Quarterly
5.Semiannual
6.Annual
7.Occasional
xxxxxx´s request
Add “recurrent” as a new category available for the frequency attribute.
3.Mandatory field on the deficiency form
Business Case
In many cases, there is not a “resolution control” to remediate the deficiency at the time of the testing/control period. Many of the deficiencies need an action plan in place to be remediated.
Current configuration in the standard ARCM solution
The deficiency form has as a mandatory field the selection of a resolution/remediation control. The deficiency form cannot be closed/approved if a control resolution is not added to the form.
xxxxxx´s request
Change to optional the selection of the “resolution control” on the deficiency form.
