Custom notification for delegation of a task

Current situation

In APG, when a user delegates a task to another user, he does 2 things :

• select a user

• write a message

When this is done, the chosen user receives the original "Task assignment mail", without mention of the delegation or of the message.

This can lead to confusion.
For example, if the original message was personnaly sent to "Jake", the delegatee will receive a mail starting with "Dear Jake" without further explanation.

Also, as the original owner of the task writes a specific message to the delegatee, he supposes that this message will be sent to him.
For the moment, this message can only be read within the task list, in a column hidden by default. Most users will not consult this.

Idea : Have a notification template for the "delegation task".

In this template, we should have the following variables :

• original message

• original subject

• "delegator" (the original owner of the task)

• delegation message

With this, we'll be able to address the different issues mentioned above.

Such templates already exist for escalation, reminder, substitution, notification, assignment. It seems only logical to have it also for delegation ;)
