Avoid unwanted occurence creation when selecting existing name from dropdown

Hi,

When modelling BPMN flows in ARIS Enterprise Public Cloud, we noticed that when you add an object to a model and start typing the name, ARIS will show a dropdown list with similar existing names. If the user selects a name from the dropdown list he creates an occurence of the chosen object. We think this is not clear for the user and in some cases also really not wanted.

For example: when modellings tasks in BPMN, most of the time we want to create a new object definition, not an occurence.

The impact of creating unwanted occurrences can be high. By changing the object in one model, we might impact another model as well, without being aware of it..

I found other users struggle with this problem as well:

Is this something that could be solved? Either by disabling this dropdown in some cases or by improving the UI and making it harder to create an unwanted occurence.

Best regards,
